What does micro-compaction do?
- /compact micro replaces each successful Read result with a placeholder naming the path and line count
- Image and PDF results are elided too
- Thinking-only messages are dropped; prompts, replies, tool calls and non-Read output stay unchanged
- Plain /compact and automatic compaction keep Claude Code's normal summary
