About ccmods.app
ccmods.app is an independent directory of Claude Code mods. Its job is to tell you what a mod does, what it can access, and how to install it with one command, before you install it.

What is ccmods.app?
An unofficial community directory, not affiliated with Anthropic. It lists 29 mods, last synced Oct 12, 2026 and validated on Claude Code 2.1.296. The site's code is open on GitHub.
Where does the data come from?
- GitHub: we search public repositories whose
hooks/hooks.jsondeclares a hooks module, and read stars, forks, license and update dates from the GitHub API. - Claude Code itself: each mod is checked out and run through
claude plugin validate. Its hooks and engine calls become the categories and the access report. - Editors: every listing is reviewed by hand. Descriptions and feature lists are written by us after reading each README, not copied.
Which mods get listed?
Mods that pass claude plugin validate on a current Claude Code release, have a README, and are not forks or archived. Projects that fail validation, for example because of a reserved claude- name prefix, are left out until fixed.
How is the ranking calculated?
Score = GitHub stars, log-scaled (60%) + updated in the last 90 days (25%) + editor pick (15%). We do not show install counts because no reliable public source exists.
How are access levels decided?
From the hooks and calls the validator reports. Running programs, writing files, network access, approving tool calls and sending messages for you count as broad access. Reading files, reading or rewriting prompts, intercepting tool calls, calling models and reading the conversation count as moderate. Everything else is minimal. It is a capability list, not a security audit.
