Installation

  1. Install from your shell (answer y to add the marketplace)

    $ claude plugin install fast-jev-compaction --marketplace tamaratran/fast-jev-compaction

What does fast-jev-compaction do?

  • Replaces Claude Code's compaction summary with the original messages, pruned of stale tool calls
  • Jev scores every tool call and result; each is kept, truncated or removed
  • User and assistant text stays verbatim and in order
  • A toast reports how many messages were kept, or that it fell back to the built-in summary
  • Applies to /compact and auto-compaction

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • TypeSafe API key for Jev (TYPESAFE_API_KEY)

How do you uninstall fast-jev-compaction?

$ claude plugin uninstall fast-jev-compaction
