Installation

  1. 1. Clone the repository

    $ git clone https://github.com/satviksinha/jev-model-router.git

  2. 2. Start Claude Code with the mod loaded for this session

    $ claude --plugin-dir ./jev-model-router

The repository has no marketplace file yet, so this loads the mod for one session. Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, in a terminal. Full install guide

What does jev-router do?

  • Before each turn asks Jev for a tier (haiku, sonnet, opus, fable) and an effort level
  • Opens each reply with the chosen route and ends it with the model that actually answered, cache share and tokens
  • /jev shows status and recent turns; /jev on, off, quiet, loud
  • /jev sticky makes a tier switch clear a confidence bar first
  • Fails open: if Jev is slow or unreachable the turn runs unrouted and says why

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • TypeSafe API key or Vercel AI Gateway key (gateway needs a card on file)
