Installation

  1. Install from your shell (answer y to add the marketplace)

    $ claude plugin install rtl-text --marketplace aliir74/claude-code-rtl

What does rtl-text do?

  • Shapes assistant replies and your messages as markdown, plus command output and Bash results
  • Right-aligns RTL paragraphs; the alignment option takes auto, left or right
  • Leaves code blocks, inline code and URLs untouched
  • Caches shaped messages and falls back to Claude Code's own rendering if fribidi fails or times out

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • fribidi (brew install fribidi or apt install fribidi)
  • Monospace font covering Arabic Presentation Forms, such as Vazir Code
  • Terminal without its own bidi, such as Ghostty (not macOS Terminal, GNOME Terminal or Konsole)
