Installation

  1. Install from your shell (answer y to add the marketplace)

    $ claude plugin install prompt-cache-control --marketplace Nasrallah-Adel/claude-prompt-cache-control

What does prompt-cache-control do?

  • Band above the prompt shows cache read, written and uncached tokens with a countdown to expiry
  • Names the cause of a cache miss: model changed, cache lapsed or prefix changed
  • /cache pane with a time-left bar, a read/wrote/new bar and a per-turn table
  • Clear button asks haiku for a session brief, runs /clear and submits the brief as the first prompt
  • Toasts at 60, 10, 3, 2 and 1 seconds before expiry for prompts of 20k tokens or more
