Installation

  1. 1. Clone the repository

    $ git clone https://github.com/helenkwok/open-links.git

  2. 2. Start Claude Code with the mod loaded for this session

    $ claude --plugin-dir ./open-links

The repository has no marketplace file yet, so this loads the mod for one session. Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, in a terminal. Full install guide

What does open-links do?

  • Detects absolute, home, Windows, relative and bare file-name paths in replies
  • Keeps :line and :line:col; with an editor set, opens the file at that line
  • Links only paths that exist; skips URLs, version numbers and paths with ..
  • Opens with the default app or an editor such as code, cursor or windsurf
  • Leaves markdown under .planning to gsd-status-mod when skipPlanning is on

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • Claude Code fullscreen terminal for in-app clicks; elsewhere the terminal must open file:// links
