Installation

  1. Install from your shell (answer y to add the marketplace)

What does token-pilot do?

  • A whole-file Read of a large code file returns its smart_read outline instead
  • Blocks heavy Grep and Bash patterns in the default deny mode; advisory and strict modes via TOKEN_PILOT_MODE
  • 25 MCP tools such as smart_read, read_symbol and read_for_edit
  • Savings line with 5-hour and 7-day rate limits in a band above the prompt
  • /tp-stats opens the session's analytics in a side pane

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • Node.js 18+
  • ast-index (npx token-pilot install-ast-index)
