What does temper do?

  • /temper:temper runs the pipeline from intent gate to commit; stages also run alone (/temper:plan, /temper:build, /temper:check)
  • Refuses file writes outside the current phase and git commit until Check passes
  • Phase bar above the prompt with numbered actions (1 main action, 9 override with a reason) and a run pane
  • Gate verdicts come from a bash CLI reading an evidence ledger; a pre-commit hook blocks commits while a gate is red
  • Temper Run, an optional runner game, opens with key 8 or /temper:temper play while a phase works

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • A git repository and bash (gate CLI and pre-commit hook)
