Installation

  1. 1. Clone the repository

    $ git clone https://github.com/muratcakmak/jev-guard.git

  2. 2. Start Claude Code with the mod loaded for this session

    $ claude --plugin-dir ./jev-guard

The repository has no marketplace file yet, so this loads the mod for one session. Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, in a terminal. Full install guide

What does jev-guard do?

  • Local regex rules and Jev-scored rules in hooks/rules.ts deny Edit/Write/Bash calls with the correction attached
  • Deploy gate denies Bash commands that deploy, publish, merge or send a credential when your last prompt did not ask for it
  • Moves long-running commands such as installs, test suites and dev servers to run_in_background
  • Answer check submits one correction prompt when a reply claims unbacked success, ends on a promise or hides a failing check
  • Optional doc router attaches the most relevant MEMORY.md entries and project docs to each prompt

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • Jev API key (JEV_API_KEY or TYPESAFE_API_KEY); guarded content is sent to the Jev endpoint
