What does crew-chief do?

  • Routing policy injected at session start with seven tiered agents, from scanner (Haiku) to reviewer (Opus)
  • Escalation ladder: implementer, then implementer-hard, then the main session
  • Read-only guard stops scanner, deep-reader, reviewer and ui-smoke from writing files or changing git state
  • Token saver asks at 70/80/90% of the 5-hour limit and 50/75/85/90% weekly to cap subagent effort; /saver on|off|status
  • /crew-chief:crew-mode solo blocks the Agent tool with a hook

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • Pro or Max plan for the token saver's limit data
  • jq for the subagent panel row and progress tracking
