Installation

  1. Install from your shell (answer y to add the marketplace)

    $ claude plugin install intermission --marketplace jarrodwatts/intermission

Already in a session? Type this at the Claude Code prompt:

What does intermission do?

  • After Claude has worked for two seconds, a pane opens with a Doom deathmatch on a shared server
  • When Claude finishes, a three-second countdown hands you back to the session
  • Permission prompts hand you back at once, and you drop in again after answering
  • /intermission turns it on and /intermission off turns it off
  • In narrow terminals, a line above the prompt offers the game; press 1

What do you need?

  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later (terminal)
  • macOS 15 or later (Apple silicon or Intel)
  • Ghostty or kitty terminal
  • About 20 MB game download on first use, and a UDP connection to the intermission server

How do you uninstall intermission?

$ claude plugin uninstall intermission

To switch it off without removing it, use claude plugin disable with the same name.
